My first hat!

This has doesn’t fit my head particularly well. The decreases made the top a little boxy, so the very top is not fitted to your head. I wish I had added a few rows of MC before and after the chart; that probably would have enhanced the fit.

My earflaps seemed a little short, so I added a couple of rows.

Row 19: K across
Row 20: K2, p17, k2

For the hat body, I did 45/25 instead of 47/23. I’m glad I did, because I couldn’t have handled the earflaps any farther back on the hat. If I were making it again, I might do a couple fewer stitches in the front and add a couple more in the back.
