Used for Detention January 2012.

My first scarf!

The pattern uses the stripe width from Prisoner of Azkaban, but I like the Goblet of Fire style better. I modified the stripe pattern to match the Goblet of Fire stripes, which are as follows:

34 MC
4 CC
8 MC
4 CC
rep until there are 12? sets of stripes (that’s my best guess from movie stills, but I chose to do 9 sets of stripes)

I did 36 rows at the beginning and end to make the ends a teeny bit longer.

The first and next to last picture are with no flash. The color is a dark wine/maroon and gold as used in the movies, not the burgundy and yellow that it looks like in the other pictures.

I ran out of the Red Heart Claret before the 7th set of stripes.

Adding fringe on every purl stitch in the first/last row really stretched out the bottom to the point that it looked bowed out on the ends. Next time, I’d do maybe every other purl column or every 3 purls.
