4/27- cast on this afternoon. Another friend is having a baby girl, and I don’t have much time to knit for her, so I thought I’d give this pattern a go. Hopefully it goes as quickly as I’m hoping!!!

I’m LOVING this yarn! It is so soft!! Too bad I bought it on clearance at Michaels a while back…I love the color too!!!

4/28- had to start over- my interchangeables popped apart! Argh!! Started over and it is moving right along now.

4/29- This has got to be one of the nicest, fastest baby sweaters EVER!!! It looks a bit big to me, so I am going to compare it to some of the baby clothes we have around the house to get a better idea. If it looks like it won’t be worn until spring, I might adjust the sleeves to be cap sleeves instead.

I love the cross detail in the top, and the eyelet row…I am still debating between doing I-cord and ribbon. We’ll see.

Once I decide on what season this will be for, I’ll make an appropriate hat to match, and add a flower to the front.

May 3- Finished last night! Susan asked for long sleeves, so that’s what she is getting. I still need to pick up some ribbon for the eyelets, then this one will be mailed out to PA. I washed it this morning, and I am so excited that it is still just as soft as before. Also, the bottom edges kept flipping up, but after a wash, they seem to be behaving themselves.

I decided to skip the flower detail, and though I wish I had time to make a hat, there aren’t enough hours in the day… :-(
