I don’t want to work on my birthday so I’ma knit! Warmer weather mitts are a thing I don’t really have yet.

Not going to do a thumb; instead, after the last cable round, k9 rounds; on next round, BO the first p on the last needle. Work flat for 9 rows, then on last row (RS) CO 1 st after first k4 on last needle and continue in the round for 9 more rounds.
