Doing these 2-at-a-time toe-up, using the 5+5 JMCO option. These will be my football knittin’.

I messed up a few of the cable crosses near the toe, but this yarn is fuzzy enough that I don’t think it’s going to be super distracting (or even noticeable).

Finally turned the heels! This took me at least five separate attempts, as I kept messing up the shadow wraps, then when I did a sizing comparison realized I’d knit straight for too long and they were going to be too big (yes, my gauge is off, shut up), so I frogged that back and had to fight with the shadow wraps twice more…

Bottom line: do not attempt heel turn whilst tired, drunk, stoned, or just confused, unless you’re a far better knitter than I am.

The four-repeat feet were too long. I’ve frogged back to the third repeat, re-turned the heel (so we’re up to six attempts at heel-turning, I’m awesome at it now) and I’m slowly working my way back through the gusset.

If you think the four-repeat foot sections are going to be too long for your feet: they are. :(
