Second try making a slouchy hat for my friend. This time I’m using the yarn double, as it’s very thin and not strong.

Finished! I love the way the pattern turned out, and how it feels so different under my fingers than stockinette or ribbing. I had some trouble with decreasing - the first couple of rounds probably lost too many stitches, and it made it a little bubbly. But it’s a nice looking hat!
