Found a soft upholstery cord at JoAnn, in drapery section.
Skipped the duct tape wrapping, in case it bleeds glue after washing. Like the shape - not too stiff.
Cut each cord at 30” long.

Cord part was easy - I used to make corded coasters that way. Designer’s notes are helpful. Used US15/10mm hook.
Picked up 70 sts for the shoulder part, which was about every other crochet stitch. Follower the pattern.

I am a loose knitter, but need to knit cowl portion even looser. I’d rather use bigger cirks, but don’t have any on hand. Re-picking 70 stitches again…
Pooling every stitch about 1 inch long. This helps.

Casted on 50 sts for the bodice. Knitted loosely and slowly, stretching each stitch to 1”.
Triangles were almost the size I needed.
Did a quick steam blocking (cowl part and triangles) and pinned pieces together and tried it on.

It’s done!
Looks pretty awesome!
