Modelled here by my 4 week old baby - I love how deliciously soft and silky the BBL yarn feels. I’m happy with the fit, though it’s a more generous NB size than a lot of patterns, but I like that it still fits him at 4 weeks so you get more than a few weeks of wear out of something you’ve invested the time into knitting. (More photos will follow, I can’t believe there is only 1 of him wearing it on my camera…I’m sure I took like a billion?!)

And Bella Baby Layette - man this yarn is so soft and silky, perfect for Spring/Summer babes (though on blocking it seems to take forever to feel dry - I think that’s the silkiness of it?)

This cardi started off as short sleeved actually, though when I’d done one it wasn’t quite as short as I’d imagined so I tried a long sleeve as well to help me decide which it would end up. For the short sleeve I knit for 4 rows before starting the cuff, next time I might try and incorporate the Hotshot pattern to get the capped sleeves I was imagining.
