I only cast on 111 stitches and did 4 rows of garter stitch instead of the slip stitch pattern. For binding off I did 2-stitch short rows before binding off each pair, to get a picot look, and it turned out great. I really like the eyelets that resulted from the short rows. Has anyone done this kind of bind-off before? Does it have a name?

Notes on the short row bind-off:

After finishing the last row of the diamond lace pattern purl one row.

Bind off
K2, turn, P2, turn, K2P, K1P (K1, turn, P2, turn, K2P, K1P) repeat bracketed directions until row is finished.
