Third set! This will be a good traveling project for our road trip up to Portland and Seattle for Christmas.

Finished on the trip and made the same modifications as the previous pairs…added a thumb gusset , increased thumb length from four rows to six rows, increased palm from 18 rows to 25 rows, added an extra cable repeat at the top, and did a basic knit bind off.

Instructions for the thumb gusset are listed below when increasing the palm to 25 rows. These were taken from masterstroke’s comment:

Starting at the 11th row after the last wrist cable
Row 11: k2, m1, k2, p1, continue 4x1 ribbing
Row 12 (and all alternate rows): knit 4x1 ribbing and k new stitches added for gusset
Row 13: k2, m1, k1, m1, k2, p1, continue 4x1 rib
Row 15: k2, m1, k3, m1, k2, p1, continue 4x1 rib
Repeat the increase rows alternated with regular rows until 15 stitches have been added.
Then: k2, put 15 new stitches onto waste yarn, k2, p1, continue 4x1 ribbing and follow pattern through bind off
Thumb: pick up 15 live stitches off waste yarn, pick up two stitches and finish thumb as directed (I increased to six rows)
