It’s a small miracle that I haven’t tossed this project into the back of my stash and vowed to never think of it again. That’s how much trouble I’ve had with it. But I love the pattern. I know that it’s not the projects fault that I’ve had some issues so I keep going on.

28 Nov 2011 | I’ve finished the fronts and now it’s just the sleeves! I went down to 3.5mm dpns to keep the fabric the same.

21 Nov 2011 | Third times the charm I finally finished the lace panel and have almost finished the right front.

After I ripped back the first XL panel I knit the first chart with 3.25mm needles and switched up to 3.75mm for the second chart, hoping that would make it small enough. Nope. It was still to big so I frogged it back to the end of the first chart and continued on with 3.25mm. About halfway through the second chart I’ve gone up to 3.5mm in hopes that it’ll work out to the right size. So far I’m much happier with what the lace looks like.

23 Oct 2011 - Finished the lace panel but it’s HUGE! considering I spent more time than I ever do on swatching, (I knit/washed/blocked three to make sure I was using the right size needles) I was pretty disappointed. It’s 15” stretched, not blocked. Looks like I’ll be re-knitting that!
