I love
this scarf. If I hadn’t made it for my husband, I would have had a hard time parting with it. I would knit it again for sure. Love the end product. This yarn is so pretty. It has a kind of glowing quality. Is it blue? Is it gray? It’s fog. If pressed, yes it’s blue, but a grayish blue. Perfect for my man.
Slipped first stitch knit-wise each row for nice edge. After knitting a bit, I thought maybe I should have made it purl-wise, but I like how it came out anyway.

This sat for months while I knit a bunch of other stuff. Back on it now. Finished the first skein last night and about 26 inches long.

Two skeins knit. Started the third on Christmas Eve. Have about 57” and I think I need about 9” more so that it’s long enough for hubby to wear it the way he wants to, which is looped around his neck.

Knit to 66”. Hubby said it was just right. Loops around the neck and then there’s enough to cross over his chest. I’m sure it will grow when it’s washed and blocked. Needs washing. The yarn has a vinegar smell and is stiff. I’m hoping it softens with washing. Scarf weighs 350 grams.

Washing got rid of the vinegar smell, which initially got worse when wet. Did an extra rinse and soak again with unscented eucalan wool wash. It grew to 77” while wet and then dried down to 71”. I did not stretch it. Nor did I pin it in place. It will probably get stretched out more as he wears it, as his last scarf did. It is softer and not stiff now.
Decided to knit a hat regular guy beanie out of the leftover yarn from this project, as none of his hats looked right with it color-wise. I had just enough! Ah, yarn efficiency perfection.

This scarf is still looking good. Just a little fuzzy where he wraps it around his neck and his scruff brushes against it.
