Notes

I started these slippers the second my yarn arrived. I was worried it got lost in transit after leaving Atlanta, I’m glad that it made it eventually!

I decided to make black bunny slippers because of my sweet black Netherland dwarf bunny named George! It’s funny because the yarn I used has some silvery fibers worked into it, and George’s under-fur on his paws is silvery, so it was perfect!

These were such a quick knit, I wish I had known sooner how easy they would be. I did find one bit confusing about the pattern. When slipping the first stitch of each row, that slip is counted as a stitch when purling (for example row 4). Once I realized why the count didn’t add up, it made sense, but it took a minute.

This was my first time felting anything, and it was a little weird! It made a bit of a mess, but it did felt eventually. The alpaca felted into a nice fabric and it’s still super soft. I used the smallest clover pom-pom maker to make the pom-poms!
