Notes

I thought I’d be adventurous and try knitting two socks at once. Knit & Tonic’s method of getting started is great. I knit the toes separately then put them on two circs.

1/17--well, that didn’t last long. I can do two circs, but hated it with a fiery passion. It’s back to dpns and I’m much happier. And no, I can’t split a skein evenly to save my life. Even with a scale.

1/23--this yarn stripes to perfection. Loooove.

2/5--live and learn. I did the afterthought heel, but arranged the stripes so there was grey on the top and gold on the bottom of the heel. What I should’ve done was end the foot stripes on the same color then work the opposite at the beginning of the heel. It’s really going to bug me, but I suspect I’ll wear them anyway.

Finished! I don’t dislike the heel striping as much as I feared. And, if I do say so myself, the fit is fantastic and they’re adorable.
