Shoulders and yoke is all done after having to rip it out about three times. The body is the next monster but I don’t suspect it’ll feel as bad since it’s pretty straightforward. I’ll just need to count rows for the cabling pattern.
Well, I’m an idiot. I did the no pocket option and didn’t realise until I had finished it. SO, no front pocket, which is fine. The sweater looks freaking AMAZING so far. All I have left to do at this point is the hood. I should have this done in the next couple days. Then washing, then wearing.
For the hood - I did a wrap and turn instead of the suggested bind off. I didn’t want to risk little holes from improperly done yarnovers. I figured it was better to stick to what is familiar.
WHEN BINDING OFF THE HOOD -- I tried a loose ribbed bind off to begin and it was WAY too tight. SO, I undid it and instead of a standard bind off, I used JENY’S SURPRISINGLY STRETCHY BIND OFF. I should’ve done it in the first place because I know better, but the lazy in me said, “Eh, just try the normal one”.
So, just to reiterate, if you want your hood to fit your head properly and not give your face a tiny little keyhole to peek through (read: if you don’t want to look like Kenny from South Park), use Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off.
Will upload better pics later today.
