What’s a holiday without a little selfish knitting? No one else is going to knit me anything:) And I finished my gift knitting already.

Pattern has directions for two weights of yarn, two sizes each. I am making the chunky version in the longer size (CO 120).

12/18/13 Couldn’t be any cozier. Nice oversized cowl with an simple but attractive lace pattern. Used 2 skeins of Puffin, with a few yards left.

Good clear explanation of the two types of yarn overs used, one is yarn forward and one is yarn back.

The only tricky place in the pattern is Round 7 where you shift the beginning of the row by moving the marker to the right, then do a yarn over as the first stitch and incorporate the shifted stitch into the decrease which is the second stitch. At the end of the round you shift the marker to the left of the yarn over, knit the yarn over as the last stitch in Round 7.

NOTE: This was supposed to be my selfish knitting, but I ended up giving it to my sister on Christmas Eve. I had one more skein, so I knit a single loop version for myself.
