I followed the pattern, got the sweater nearly finished, then ripped it out ‘cause I didn’t like it. Started over with some mods:

Provisional CO at neckline, 10 fewer st than called for, increase at both front edge EOR 5 times while doing the sleeve increases.

After bottom ribbing is finished, pick up along front edges and neck. Work ribbing, with a few increases at the front corners. Work buttonholes on the 3rd or 4th round (whichever is a right-side row)
