Decided to do a long-tail cast on with waste yarn as I had a hard time keeping the provisional cast-on straight when joining in the round.

Finished the knitting on 4/13! The bag is really big, I hope it felts down quite a bit. I used up almost exactly two skeins of the Ella Rae, had a few yards leftover when I was done.

Felted using my dryer by soaking the bag for about an hour, then throwing it in the dryer (in a pillow case) with some wet towels. After about 15 minutes not much was happening so I re-soaked it and put it in for another 35 minutes. At that point it was nicely felted but still a little big… so I put it in for another 10 minutes. Probably should have only done 5, it came out the teensyiest bit over-felted. The pattern is still plenty visible though.

8/4 The lining is sewn and patiently waiting for me to decide on handles so I can finally finish the bag.
