Notes

Altering Odessa hat pattern to resemble a cupcake for Camp Happy Times 2012.

Cast on 110 on size 3 needles with Berroco Comfort DK in speckled blue color. Place marker to denote beginning/end of round. Knit 24 or 25 rounds in k3, p2 ribbing.

Change to chocolate brown in Tahki Cotton Classics DK (slightly heavier than the Berroco Comfort DK it seems which works well to make the cupcake bow out a bit). Knit 1 round and then purl 3 rounds. Remove marker,
Purl 2, and then replace marker.

Odessa Pattern: Work 25 rounds in the Odessa pattern without beads (ssk, k6, yo, k2).
Begin decreases on Row #2 of decreases. Skipped some rows where there were no decreases (worried I’d run out of yarn). Toward the end, I added in some knit rounds to make the hat more pointy at the top. Stopped at six stitches. Did I-cord for as long as I could until yarn ran out and then tacked down I-cord (a sort of loop).
