Recently I completed Cat Bordhi’s “Everyday Anemone Hat”, and some of you requested that I also post a picture of my matching scarf when complete. So here are a few pictures of both.
Last Monday night (4/16/12), Denny and I visited my Mom and sister’s family as we frequently do. As soon as I removed my hat and scarf, my youngest sister, Janny grabbed them and put them on her 7-year-old son, Tristyn so that she could take some pictures of him wearing them. (?) Of course, my niece Sawyer had to have a turn too.
When I first wore my Anemone hat, Denny exclaimed, “I like your hat!” But when I asked him if he’d like me to make one for him, he replied, “No”. However, I’ve received so much positive attention wearing the hat, that Denny suddenly changed his mind. On Monday night, he informed me that he’d also like an Anemone hat – “but I want my tendrils to be longer than yours.” (He always tries to outdo me in most things.) I’m not sure how long he wants them to be, but I hope he doesn’t mean waist length.
Here’s a link to my previous post about the hat:

I made a video tutorial showing how I made the “tendril tassels”, but there’s a verbal error. I said I was doing a “double crochet” stitch, when I really meant to say “triple crochet” (which is what I’m doing in the video). Translation for you Europeans: “double treble crochet” (dtr or dbl tr).
The picture of ME was taken on 4/19/12 on top of Mission Peak, Fremont, CA - elevation 2,517 feet. It’s quite a workout getting to the top, but once there, we’re rewarded with 360 degree views of the San Francisco Bay Area. The evening sunsets are spectacular!
