there’s a KAL going on over on the Southern Cross Fibre boards. Good excuse to knit down more stash.
Used a cable cast on with 10.5 needle. Loosey goosey.
8/4: Got through Row 9 but the nupps are too tight. I tried to p7tog and it just wasn’t going to work.
The yarn is hand spun. Not by me. And not very well done. This yarn is severely under plied. It is very splitty and requires tremendous concentration to work properly.
8/7: Too many errors. It’s a mess. I started over, and I chose one of the other little yarn cakes in hopes the yarn performs better.
8/9: Into Row 10, and I’ve had 4 breaks in this little skein. Ridiculous.
8/10: Row 11 - This is not going well. Time out.
8/15: I’ve resumed. Tinked back the bad rows, cut out all the broken yarn, started fresh on Row 6. Much better.
8/22: Finished the NUPP section. Woo hoo.
8/23: The short row section is a breeze. Yay.
Boy, once you get past those nupps this thing is a fun project! I am tempted to make another.
