Notes

This is a pretty little hat, that is perfect for the time when the seasons are changing it is warm enough to protect the baby from a stray gust of wind. At the same time the lace panels allow air to circulate freely and will not let the baby get too hot. The stitch pattern is simple and easy to remember. And while the hat looks pretty and feminine in pink, it would also look wonderful in blue.
A word about the yarn. For this set I have used Elann Peruvian Baby Silk, a light fingering weight blend of baby alpaca and silk. It is a beautiful blend of baby alpaca and silk (80/20). The yarn is very soft, slightly fuzzy. It is not tightly spun but gives wonderful stitch definition. It is very luxurious and silky - a perfect new baby yarn. The yarn is a bit thinner than usual fingering yarn. Please keep this information in mind if you will be substituting another yarn for it.
