• Project Spectrum Square Project

I’m playing with dyeing for Project Spectrum and decided that I really need to do something with all the sample skein “test” yarn. I envision a blanket, inspired by a quilt project I recently came across, so am knitting 20-stitch squares using the fingering-weight sample skeins. It’s amazing how many of my handwork endeavors are inspired by, and yet are not, quilting… and for how long it’s been that way. Years. I quilted a total of two squares in my life, and one of them was pretty half-assed. The other one was pretty darn great, though. Anyway, this is a long-term project, but I expect it’ll be sewn up and finished pretty quickly at the conclusion of PS because I am really lovin’ it. This is just for the fingering weight yarn; I’ve also cut up and am dyeing samples of two worsteds, a DK and a lace-weight, but haven’t quite figured out what to do with themyet.
