6/12 Cast on last night. Still choosing color progression, but definitely starting with darker grey in the center.

Decided on color progression and added Sand to do one ball of each color until the ruffle, which might take two colors of Camel. I’m using about 75-100 yards less than the pattern calls for. I switched colors at whatever point that occurred in the round when I had about 5 inches left of the color I was finishing, to be able to use the complete amount of yarn in each ball.

Knit until 20% remained before ruffle. For me that was about 70 grams, though I had less than the necessary yardage. I weighed a few rounds and was using a little over 7 grams per round in the ruffle. Bound off at 11.6 grams. 1 gram remained after bind off. Used a 5mm needle and bound off loosely. I had 1 gram of yarn remaining. I used 1,652 yards total. Mine was about 58” wide and 68” tip to tip.
