CO 65 and then changed it to 68, which is fine for his leg, but would be too tight for mine. I could have used more stitches for the ribbing part and maybe 2.5mm needles.

Patons Kroy kinda falls between Regia 4-ply & 6-ply, and is a charm to knit with. With 2.25mm dpn’s it gives a thick and comfortable fabric that should wear well.

cuff: 24 rnds of 2 x 2 rib
leg: 52 rnds of stockinette
heel flap: Eye of Partridge stitch pattern over 35 stitches (33 reserved), for 36 rows + 1 extra purl row with no slipped stitch at the beginning - weight: 26g. I will run out of yarn. (I could have used 4-8 additional rows )
round heel: with 7 central stitches (Classic Sock from Nancy Bush Folk Socks)
gusset: 25 24 through back-loop picked-up stitches. I could have added a couple more
foot: 52 rnds after last decrease ran up of yarn at rnd 46
foot: 60 rnds before decreases
grafting: done over 14 stitches (or 15?)

16/11/10: Too tight at the ankle and foot junction. Will have to undo everything and add 4 to 6 rep to the heel flap. Bummer.

+10 extra rows = 3” heel flap
25 PU stitches = 33 reserved + 21 turned heel + 25 PU stitches x 2 = 104

shapping: 26 rounds = 78 residual stitches
