I enjoyed this project very much although I did stumble a few times, mostly because I was knitting it too fast and/or when too tired, and as a result I got really mixed up in the textured stitch that makes up the last section (referred to as “Center”). My fault.
Advice: Take your time for this section and verify your stitches and your stitch count at every round until you get the feel of the pattern. Everything else before that knits up nicely without any fuss according to the charts.

10/10/10: The shawl blocked nicely and easily with the help of blocking wires. Those are a charm to work with! I just wonder why I managed without them for so long. The yarn has a lot of give and it bloomed up beautifully, especially in the textured stitch section. I will make another one for sure, maybe a personalized one. Lovely pattern. Lovely yarn.
03/10/10: Finished! It just needs blocking. The yarn knitted up easily, and all the stitches are very even looking.
31/09/10: Picked it up again after yet another too long hiatus. I had to perform serious surgery on it because I’ve stumbled so much with the center textured portion that I had to get rid of 6g of overused yarn. Completely fuzzy and useless to the point that it was felting on itself. I am taking my time now and counting very carefully so everything should be ok this time around.
24/01/10: Picked it up after a few months’ hiatus since September. I had forgotten how much I like this yarn and this pattern. Finished the border and am ready to tackle the textured top portion.

30/07/09: The border is so complex and intricate, yet so gratifying to knit. I’m really pleased with the results so far.
