I love this sweater. Simple pattern that looks fantastic. The short rows were new to me and a whole lot of fun.
I got a little lost on the sleeves until I searched around and stumbled on N-K’s notes. Thank goodness! Apparently you follow all the short row repeats, which didn’t seem clear at first.
One mod I made: After finishing the cardigan, I added a line of crochet to the top of the collar to cinch it up a bit since it was sticking up on the sides.
Next time I attempt this pattern I will make the sleeves at least a couple inches longer. They hit right below my elbows and I’d rather have at least a 3/4 length sleeve if not a full sleeve.
For more info on the yarn and the process I used to turn an old sweater from H&M into this cardigan, check out my post on The Better Sweater Project. The last image here is the original sweater.
Update: the buttons pictured were way too small so I swapped them out for 7/8 sized buttons. Much better!
