Notes

My 3rd Koolhaas. Used .55 of a skein left of the Mal worsted. CO using Long Tail Tubular CO, 5 repeats, added another round of ssk to get a smaller hole at the finish.

Ok, so the first round after the ribbing is a cable row, and even though this is the 3rd time to do this hat, this first cable row is so fiddly it makes me scream. Doing it on the smaller size needle makes it go much easier. I am switching to the larger needles on the 2nd row.

I was unsure of how many repeats to work to get the right length. I like my hats to cover my ears. Then I read in the Yarn Harlots book that working a hat to the length that equals that of the wearers hand before starting decreases is a good general rule. That worked out to 5 repeats this time. Very snug fit, blocking will loosen it up a bit. Great pattern, great yarn!
