Notes

The most elegant of my candy cane ripples so far - Black Cherry doesn’t contain any bright colors, but it has lots of subtle golden shimmer.

There’s an entire eight ounce skein of solid tan with a fine metallic gold thread, Caron Christmas Gold ‘lace’ and the variegated has gold too. If you stare hard at the close-up you can see specks of gold in its forest and burgundy sections.

As usual, I modified the Rustic Ripple pattern, using one strand instead of two. Then, to make it a little wider, I added another dc stitch to each uphill or downhill run, making them all ten stitches long.
