Socks used up 94g or 404 yards of yarn and 35,514 stitches. ;-)

Jan 14 - 16, 19, 24 - 26 Work the toe in orange till 72 sts then change to main yarn for last increases to 80 sts (1,176 sts), 24 rows (1,920 sts), 32 rows (2,560 sts), 23 rows (1,840 sts), 32 rows (2,560 sts), 33 rows (2,640 sts), 33 rows and sewn bind off (2,720 sts). 1st sock used 13 yards of orange and 163 yards of trifolium before doing the afterthought heel. I’ll do both heels at the same time.
Feb 1 - 17 Did the toe in orange as the first one (1,048 sts), 13 rows (1,040 sts), 19 rows (1,520 sts), 33 rows (2,640 sts), 30 rows (2,400 sts), 25 rows (2,000 sts), 24 rows (1,920 sts), 49 rows and BO (3,920 sts). 2nd sock used 17 yards of orange and 168 yards of trifolium before doing the afterthought heel.
Feb 29 Picked up the 40sts plus 1 at easch side above and below the waste yarn then unpicked the waste yarn. The sock fits pretty well, I could have put in the wate yarn at the purple stripe instead of yellow but it’s not bad. Worked the first heel (1,864 sts, 21 yards). 2nd heel was (1,746 sts, 21 yards) slightly smaller because my foot is slightly smaller.

Waste yarn put in at 8” in the middle of the yellow stripe

Toe Using magic loop cast on 28sts with Turkish Cast On, knit 1 round. Then on each needle:

• K1, M1L, knit to last stitch, M1R, K1
• K3, M1L, knit to last 3 stitches, M1R, K3
• Knit all stitches

repeat the above 3 rows till 80 stitches in total

Yardage notes

• Orange starts 26g and ends on 23g after the toe & cuff is done. Ends on 19g after 2nd toe and cuff is done. 14g left after 1st heel. 9g left after 2nd heel.
• 1st ball of main yarn starts on 46g and ends on 8g
• 2nd ball of main yarn starts on 58g and ends on 19g on 17th

Gauge is 13 rounds & 9sts per inch on 2.25mm needles, foot is 10” so 90sts less 10% for negative ease is 81sts rounded to 80sts
