this project won third place in the “original ANTT (a new take on tradition) design structure - general” category at the Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters Guild 2012 adjudicated show. adjudicator Fiona Ellis commented:
“Incredibly clever. Really well executed. One smart cookie! But sometimes when we have these ideas and want to impose a notion onto a garment, it fights the garment, but these just fit really harmoniously - the idea isn’t jarring. Extremely pleasing.”

added another 2 inches to the sleeves last week. now my favourite sweater.

finished it last friday during a power out. been wearing it everyday since. it could be a touch longer, I think I’ll block the hell out of it and it’ll probably grow, if not, I’ll add more to the sleeves. very very happy with it :).

I did end up alternating skeins for the body. I found this blog post suggesting how to alternate skeins so you are spiraling one yarn over the other, and I’m very happy with how it turns out, its not visible at all! I have just a few more inches on one sleeve to do, since I ripped it back because the ball I joined was just a touch lighter.
as with my previous sweater, I did make it freakishly long. I might be able to block it even longer :). I think I’ll have enough yarn left for a beanie.

even though the balls are presumably from the same dyelot, some of them are really really different :/
