this is my third Leaves of Grass to make. i love LOVE this pattern. this time it was for christmas, secret knitting for my girl and her husband.

the second to be made in worsted weight (the first is now hannah’s) Lion Brand Fishermen’s Wool is lovely and knit into a gorgeous pi.

this shawl/blanket used nearly 1800 yards (1700 meters) and an untold number of stitches. i had a cord break, it was a shudder moment when all 580 stitches floated free. and over 290 sts now lost their markers too, along with the beg of round.

the lifeline really ended up saving the day, even though i didn’t go back to it. the knotted ends (left long) led me to know where to place the bog marker…

so pleased with how it turned out.
