i knit this as written, it’s a brilliant little pattern, easy to do, intuitive and oh so charming.

the only change i did make was the clasp. not really liking metal under a wee ones chin i made a leaf tie using this pattern here. attaching the leaves with a crochet chain, one to each side, and tying it together in a bow.

here is a good video on making the three needle bind off. i find it much easier to transfer stitches equally to dpn’s and then do the three bind off from there. i also kept right sides together, you still get the pointy hood. :)
