Notes

I LOVE this sweater! I was worried that it would not be warm enough for Atlanta air-conditioning, but it’s actually pretty warm. I wore it to Stitches when it was in the 60’s outside, and although I get cold easily, I was comfortable.

Notes about the yarn: This yarn DOES NOT stretch, but this pattern has a little bit of give to it.

Modifications:

  • I made the two fronts the same; the pattern had the lace sections offset vertically, which seemed dumb to me.
  • I changed the measurements of the pattern sections on the sleeves a bit, but if I had to do it again, I would make sure that the entire sleeve cap (or most of it) was in moss stitch rather than trying to figure out how to decrease with the lace pattern.
  • I used a provisional cast-on for the fronts and back, then cast-off once I had sewn them together. I’m not sure it was really worth it in terms of how the finished edge looked.
