My gauge is off (4” = 20.5 st, 29 rows, not 23 st, 32 rows) so I did Math and am going to make the size 38” instead of 42” and hope that the Math was correctly done…Tried for gauge on recommended needles then went down a size without my gauge changing much (21 st. At that rate I might end up on size 1’s to get 23 st. Not doing that for a sweater!) plus I liked the fabric better at the larger gauge - less stiff. So, Math!
