I wanted to add in a cable on one side because I liked this Milo vest so much ( http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/milo-3 ). I also only knit 5garter ridges instead of five so that the cable would show more.

The cable pattern is worked on what will be the childs left side, right next to the button band. Reverse stockinette 2 sts, stockinette 6 (for three rows) reverse stockinette 2, then on the fourth row I twist the cable with the first three stitches. This may not make a bit of sense to anyone but me, but at least I will be able to remember what I did! Ha!

7-29-11:I will probably make armhole modifications, because most people say that they seem small and I want he to be able to wear this over clothing.

11/2: There isn’t a good reason for this taking so long other than I just got busy with other projects! I mad myself finish the last few rows tonight so that I could move onto something new! YAY! This was a very fun, easy, and beginner friendly knit.
