I need a cup cozy for my next trip, yes! need! :D

This yarn is… sport? but I am getting 12 sts x 6cm with 3.5mm needles… what?? anyway, it is ok if it is a little large, to put two cups in it.

I arrived to the conclusion that I do not like variegated yarns. But this soft yarn has to be used for something… perhaps I can over dye it grey or so? can look interesting.

A few hours later: woohoo! finished! I enjoyed this LOTS :D I will knit more. Entertaining pattern (well, not so much the i-cord. I don’t like to knit it). I will take a picture now even though it is dark, because I want to dye it bluer. Perhaps it can be dry by tomorrow so I can glue the eyes on (I don’t want buttons!)

Oh btw, I don’t see the point of binding off and picking up sts again, so I just did two garter rounds instead.

Dye: It was already big (wide) to begin with, and now after wetting it is huge! Strtched lots. I can put all my cups in this thing! that’s superwash for you…

I also put too much dye (blue and black acid dye) and the thing is almost black now >_< still see a bit of the variegation though. We’ll see tomorrow, when it is dry.

I made a lining out of striped jersey, the ties are strips of the same fabric, and GLUED (omg) on funny eyes. Squid needs BIG eyes. I love it :D
