8-28-15 - finally…done. I finished the sleeves a week ago; this morning worked the neck edge (picked up 2:3 around the entire edge) and hope to get the ends worked and the whole thing reblocked this afternoon. I did make the sleeves a little smaller - between the 1st and 2nd sizes - picked up 60 stitches and worked 8 decrease rounds to end up with ribbing on 44 st. Tried it on and like the way it fits (whew!)
8-8-15 - I’m not sure what went wrong in my calculations, but the back ended up way too long. So I ripped it out and re-knit. Began back V at row 18/shoulders at row 39. For the front, I began the V at row 4 (as written) and shoulders at row 37 (think the V’s will lay nicely if the back is bit longer). Used shadow wraps for the short rows. Also, on the back V, I worked the WS decreases with SSK, then K2Tog (so the SSK gets worked on the same side as SSP and K2Tog on the same side as P2Tog) so the decreases slant the same way. Joined the shoulders and then blocked.
8-2-15 - my row gauge is 32.5/4” (vs the 36/4” that the pattern suggests) - after reviewing all the neck and shoulder shaping, I’m going to start the back v at row 26 and the front v at row 14; for both sides, the shoulders start at row 47. hope it works!
7-31-15 - feels like it’s been a bit of a slog, but I finally made it to the 16” point to start the back/front shaping!
7-5-15 - not quite through the first ball … knitting on a Sunday afternoon by Lake Wingra.
7-1-15 - casting on at the airport. can’t wait to get started!
