1-6-17 - definitely cold enough now! and a big thank you to my daughter for the final photos. I’ve worn this sweater several times over the past two weeks and I love it - great fit, great yarn (soft, drapey and a great color), great pattern!!
12-22-16 - done! re-blocked to open up the cowl. really happy with the finished piece (but it’s going to be too warm here this weekend to wear it!)
12-19-16 - 8” of cowl done. almost there!
12-18-16 - picked this back up after a short break for Top Secret knitting.
12-7-16 - two sleeves done and I’m 3-1/4” into the cowl neck.
11-30-16 - worked a 3-needle bind off to join the shoulders and picked up the first sleeve (59 stitches). working decreases every 8 rows 10 times.
11-23-16 - finally finished the front and blocked - looks good! (but there’s no way I’m gonna have it done for Thanksgiving…so setting aside until the craziness abates and I can concentrate on finishing) - p.s. joined the third set of balls (5th and 6th skien) a little past the sleeve cast-on - looks like I’ll have a lot of yarn leftover.
11-15-16 - 37 rows ~ 1/3 of the way to the front sleeve shaping. must knit faster!
11-13-16 - looks good! cast on the front.
11-12-16 - finished the back (!) and wet blocked to double check my gauge before proceeding.
11-8-16 - worked 113 rows - need to see if I’m ready for the underarm shaping
11-4-16 - cast on 119 stitches
holding two strands of Cima together. gauge is a little loose, but I like the fabric, so I’m casting on fewer stitches and knitting fewer rows to make it work. based my numbers on the size S, but using neck shaping for size XS (same thing I did for Tails - and it worked beautifully).
