Notes

10-17-16 - and done. I reinforced the two ends of the steek (at the shoulder and where I picked up for the ribbing). In hindsight, I should’ve secured my seams better. Also, I think I might suggest binding off 3 stitches at the top edge so the shoulder seam doesn’t start from a partial stitch. I re-blocked and think the yarn is going to hold everything in place ok.

10-16-16 - woo hoo - the steek is done! (and it worked - the hardest part was sewing the four seams along the edge stitches). I also finished the neck, picked up the ribbing and knit almost half of that.

10-15-16 - wet-blocked (soaked for about 15 minutes in cool water and Soak). happy to report it matches the schematic :-) … now on to the steek!

10-14-16 - finished the body and put it on waste yarn. I bought another skein of the main color - have 16 g left and that doesn’t seem like enough for 3” of ribbing along the edge.

10-11-16 - finished the 6th colorwork section (and almost to the 7th) - 4th ball of MC is getting smaller!!

10-9-16 - finished the 5th colorwork section.

10-6-16 - finished the 3rd colorwork section. it’s slow, but I’m really enjoying it.

10-2-16 - started the 2nd colorwork section and time to add the 2nd skein of the main color. (slow) progress??!

9-8-16 - through the first plain stockinette Section… on to the colorwork.

9-6-16 - swatched. not going to get gauge…so I’m adjusting the pattern to get the finished piece the right size. took out 12 stitches and 12 rows.

a note about the yarn - I weighed the 6th skein of the MC before joining it and it it weighed just 42 grams. I used 9 grams of it. seems like if my skeins had all weighed 50 g, I might’ve had plenty with just 5 skeins.
