8-16-11 - blocked and worn. LOVE! (and it was like icing on the cake that “finishing” entailed weaving in FOUR ends - my favorite kind of knitting!!) I worked the skirt for about 9” and then a generous 1-1/2” of ribbing (14 rows). bound off in rib. did the M1s on the skirt as M1R on the right edge and M1L on the left edge. Did not slip stitches on the ribbing. p.s. now knitting a shawl in fingering weight on size 6 needles…feels like bulky yarn :-)

8-10-11 - bound off neck and started skirt - YAY!! (worked ribbing for 2.75”)

8-7-11 - picked up 260 stitches. working ribbing on 3mm (US2.5) needles.

8-5-11 - sleeves and back finished. sleeves seamed. gearing up to pickup all the stitches for the ribbing.

7-8-11 - got gauge on size 4’s (bummer!). my across-the-back measurement is 19” so I was initially thinking I’d knit the 12/14 … but I cast-on and worked about 3” and decided it was too big. re-started with the 8/10 and it seems good so far (about 3” in!)

thinking I’ll use size 1’s for the back gathering rows and size 2’s for the trim. (did use the 1’s and have 3mm/US2.5 needles for the ribbing)

the yarn is a lot easier to work with than I expected. loving it!!
