I used about 24 grams for this little shawlette. =)

I ended the shawl with 2 rounds of garter, and to widen the edging a bit I used a crochet-needle to BO the stitches - and made a chain between every stitch. Then I crocheted a simple piqout-look-a-like edging of one single crochet, 4 chains and a single crochet before I blocked it. =)

English is not my language, so I am not sure I managed to explaine… lol
