Notes

“If there’s an iced tea in that bag… could be love.”
--Fox Mulder, X-Files 1x21, “Tooms”

10/21/14: Well, it was kind of big when I knit it, and then I lost 20 pounds. Into the frog pond it goes.

03/25/13: Yup, neckline still redonkulous. Other than that, I love it!

03/24/13: Wove in the ends on a day when I was home sick from work; never worked up the ambition to block it until today. Currently on a hanger to set and maybe stretch a little overnight.

03/15/13: Finished the neckline, weaving and blocking tomorrow!

03/13/13: The lace pattern is in the same place on both sleeves! The neckline is still pretty drastic, and because I loathe picking up stitches I’m going to do a crocheted edge. After that I just need to weave in the ends, block it, and I’m done!

03/09/13: Sixth skein finished, as is the first sleeve. Made the sleeve ribbing one repeat shorter than the waist ribbing; otherwise it would look too wide to me.

03/07/13: Did the hem bind-off, now into the lace pattern on the first sleeve and hoping to bind it off by the end of the night.

03/04/13: Set it down at the end of January after reaching the target length, which left only the bottom ribbing and the sleeves. I could have been done with this in the first week of February. :P

01/29/13: Finished with the hip increase, which takes me to 12”.

01/26/13: Fifth skein finished. Debating if I should do an extra hip increase, because yes my hips are bigger than my bust, but I’m making this a little large to start with. Lengthwise, 11.5” out of 13” so far.

01/24/13: Slacked off for a while; have just started hip increases. Definitely won’t be done by the end of the month, but I’m okay with that.

01/17/13: Fourth skein down; finished with waist decreases.

01/15/13: It’s pretty much outgrown its gallon bag, and so has been transferred into the 2.5-gallon bag that’s holding the rest of the yarn. Almost done with waist decreases.

01/13/13: Tried on again; at just about the right length for waist decreases. The neckline seems a little drastic, but we’ll burn that bridge when we get to it.

01/09/13: Third skein finished.

01/07/13: A little over 1.5” of 3.5” of stockinette done.

01/06/13: Two skeins down, now in the round with sleeves separated. Über-flattering photo courtesy of TPau and the lack of an extra-long cable that would let the garment stretch. Next up, many inches of stockinette.

01/03/13: It doesn’t look like much right now; about halfway through the second set of raglan increase rows. One skein down.
