11/07/09: Restarted. I think there was some irregularity in the first row, but that’s okay. Once the ribbing gets established nobody’ll see it, right?

01/01/10: I finally got to the second step! Having 3/4 of the stitches on a straight needle is kind of stretching the piece and making it hard to work (I’m already a crazy-tight knitter), but I hope that’ll loosen up as I get further up the back of the balaclava.

I also finally gave up and wound my remaining yarn into a ball.
