Carolyn has kindly given me a gift after the birth of each of my girls so I want to make some hats for her kids. Abbs found this yarn and just had to have a hat made from it so I am going to make Hannah’s in the same yarn.

I had previously attempted to give Carolyn an Aviatrix hat for Jacob and a Poppy for Hannah, but unfortunately they turned out to be too small. Boo. Hopefully these fit.

Knit my first hat today using the pink yarn. It is bulkier then the pattern calls for so I am going to knit the smallest pattern, see how big it is and then size it up for the girls.5

Co 70 sts using 4.0mm for rib and 4.5 for pattern. Hat measures 6.5” wide and 6” deep. Approximately baby size. 68 yards.

Finished the second hat. I should say finally finished as I feel like I shave been knitting this hat forever. It measures 7.5 wide by 7.5 deep, used 115 yards. I feel like I have a love hate relationship with this pattern. I don’t love knitting it but the results are rather nice. I think that this pattern makes me miss stockinette. Oh well, on to another pattern this month!
