About this yarn-- I noticed that the purple crochets at a much smaller gauge than the white and the pink. I had to consciously crochet loosely when working with that color.

Prologue-- The baby shower is July 10 so I have lots of time to finish considering the ease of the granny-ish hexagons! Made in colors specifically requested by the mother’s mother.

update July 1-- Most of the pieces done. But now starting to think about joining methods. Lacy and quick or solid and slow going?

update July 8-- WEEE! Final motif finished. Tonight I’ll assemble and tomorrow I’ll add a border and a signature.

update Jan 2 2012--- YYYEeeahhhhh that never happened. I’m totally lame and got frustrated with seaming after only a few minutes and the poor thing has been languishing ever since. I’m finishing it THIS MONTH no matter how frustrated I get!!
