While I’m not yet at the point where I’m ready to get my sewing machines serviced, I wanted to try some sewn ducks for LYD so I decided to try hand sewn felt. In my head it would be fast, but in reality it took longer than the crocheted ones. I found a really cute one online and gave it a shot. I used yellow, black, white, and light orange felt with one strand of DMC Pearl cotton thread near the embroidery thread. I used blanket stitch for all but the eyes and wings. Those I used running stitch. It’s a cute duck. If I made another I would use 2 strands of thread and larger stitches.

The knot tutorial it references is great too.
