6/9/11 - Finished! I added an embroidered Michigan too because I thought it was a bit plain otherwise. I wound up changing the I-cord color to the brown. The yellow was just a bit light. I also slip-st crocheted the back pocket on, and did a sl-st band along the top of the pocket, so it has it on all four sides. Apparently I can’t measure and so the inside pocket isn’t quite in the center, but whatevs. My dimensions are also a bit different (my bag’s not as wide, but taller) and so the strap pockets are up at the top edge of the bag rather than 2” down the side. It can’t hold much heavy, but it’s nice and big and everything I like in a bag. :)
6/7/11 - So after ages of not touching this thing because I didn’t know what I was doing/afraid of screwing it up right at the end, I’ve started again! YAY! I did the edging on the front and back last night. Now I just have to block them. I don’t have much here though, so they’re being pinned to a piece of cardboard and I’ll stick ‘em in the bathroom with me when I shower so they’ll steam a bit. Maybe that’ll block them a bit? I’m also working on the I-Cords too. I have one out of the four done. Once I block the front and back I can start assembling. :) I’m stoked. It’s been much too long since I started this/worked on it.
I’m really loving this bag. I’m big on bags anyway, and to find one with so many pockets and in stitches I’m comfortable with, it’s perfect. It’s really easy to work on too, since it’s easy and a lot of the pieces are pretty small.
