Ugh there is just no saving this sweater. I thought I could alter the fronts to make it more cardigan like. I got the fit right around the lower body by there is just no way to fix the upper body and still knit the pattern even remotely the way it is written. It needs a yoke up around the shoulders, but one can’t be added unless you completely alter the pattern from the very beginning.

I feel very deceived by this pattern because it was never depicted straight-on from the front in the magazine and I had finished the whole back before realizing that the front is really not flattering on anyone.

Basically I love the idea of the lace in the back but the way this pattern is shaped (or rather not shaped) does not result in a wearable garment because of the hang around the neck. LAME.
