Got this kit from Knit Picks on sale. It’s been over a year since I knit Adam a funny hat. To me this looks like Elmer Fudd’s hat. I can’t imagine anyone wearing this to actually be fashionable (which is probably why the kit went on sale) but for my silly hat tradition with Adam it will serve nicely I think.

I haven’t decided if I’m going to make him the matching mittens or not…

The Suri Dream is held together with a strand of the same color Wool of the Andes to make the ear flap “softer” but Adam says it actually makes it very itchy… Also, the Suri Dream has such a big halo that it’s really unpleasant to work on size 5s.

The directions for working the earflap are not well written at all. I basically just did what I thought looked right. That is why I only gave the pattern 3 stars.

The pictures on Adam are from Christmas day, we were dressed up to go to a dinner party… He wore the hat to the party and throughout most of the night.
